Rinko Farm Diary|7/20 My First Tractor
Long ago, Rinko used to speed around in her Porsche. She would overtake everyone in the fast lane, constantly flirting with the speed limit (or maybe exceeding it?). Now, a new stage has arrived for Rinko.
Currently, we are borrowing Mr. Kakizawa’s field and challenging ourselves with natural farming! On June 7th, 2025, we finally had the first day to operate a tractor.
We received careful instruction on how to drive the tractor and, with hearts racing, took on the challenge immediately. “I have to try everything myself!” Rinko’s curiosity shows no signs of slowing down, even with age.
On that day, we mowed the ridges and embankments in the morning, and in the afternoon, we plowed two tan (approx. 0.66 acres) of field all at once with the tractor!
At first, she was cautious, but soon looked like a seasoned driver. The thrill of being surrounded by the tractor’s vibrations and engine sound, and driving it confidently—what a rush! The sense of accomplishment after finishing the plowing was truly extraordinary.
Next up, we will start sowing seeds and planting seedlings. The crops grown with natural farming are sure to be full of energy and nutrients.
Rinko Farm, a small story that has just begun. Please look forward to its growth from here on.
